In a corner of East Sussex where a monumental battle famously reshaped the nation, Camber Sands boasts a classically beautiful English landscape infused with an epic sense of history. Surrounded by the atmospheric sheep studded Romney marsh where the smugglers known as ‘Owlers’ once roamed.

What to See & Do

White Sand Holiday Cottages offer easy access to Camber Sands and its huge sandy beach hidden by mountainous dunes. We like to describe Camber Sands as a mosaic of habitats beside the sea with shingle, saltmarsh, sand dunes, rivers, pits, grazing marsh, reedbeds and farmland with a bit of history thrown in. Full of wildlife for you to discover with a network of footpaths and cycle routes that take you to the medieval town of Rye and the nearby Rye Harbour nature reserve.

Perched on a hill overlooking the atmospheric marshes, Rye is the perfect place to explore, shop and eat out. Its charming ancient streets are filled with a great selection of independent retailers, restaurants, pubs and a weekly farmers market.

And if that’s not enough, you don’t have to travel far to find beauty, fun and relaxation. Our White Sand Holiday Cottages are set on the border of 1066 Country and The Garden of England, two truly diverse counties, you’ll find classic rural landscapes and beautiful beaches along with ancient history and spectacular gardens – and all within easy reach of London and Continental Europe.
