Dining & Lounging
A royal blue front door set against a traditional brick facade marks your arrival to the Camber Beach House. Step into the ground floor’s open plan kitchen/dining area, which is well-equipped for both simple pancake brunches and feasts of Romney Marsh lamb. A charcoal grill and dining table on the deck provides another option for dinner: uncork a bottle of wine and have a seaside al fresco.
Across the hall from the kitchen/dining area, through the double doors, you will find the light and sunny sitting room. An ideal retreat for evenings (or rainy days), this comfortable room is equipped with large flat screen TV, a fireplace, a collection of books and DVDs, and a stack of cosy knit blankets.
Holidays with young children and toddlers means lots of bulky luggage, high chair, travel cots, etc., so to ease the load Camber Beach House has been specially equipped with baby-friendly features such as a high chair, stair gate, & travel cot.
Bed & Bath
On the first floor, find a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and basin. The thoughtfully decorated second bedroom has two single beds, and the third has a double bed. The second and third bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC.
Outside is a sunny, fully enclosed and landscaped garden with rattan furniture—essentially a second living & dining space in the open air (opening the doors to the kitchen creates a lovely indoor/outdoor feel). Parking is available directly outside the front of the cottage.

“A fabulous place to spend a week” Aug 2016
Perfectly located in a tucked away cul-de-sac, only few minutes walk to the beach, this pretty, beach themed and well equipped house, with its’ small but well designed garden, was a fabulous place to spend a week on holiday.
“Everything you need for an excellent holiday” Feb 2016
The perfect spot and house with everything you need for an excellent holiday. Very clean, well organised, and nicely furnished. Good mix of books and dvd’s for all ages. Nice quiet location, in secluded close, but still close enough to walk to the beach. Garden access for sandy feet on your return from the dunes!
“Perfect Set up” Feb 2016
We have been to Camber a few times now, and this is definitely a favourite. It is clean (very), comfortably furnished, kitted out with everything we needed, including books, DVDs, and games, and generally very well organised and of high quality. The beds were very comfy too. You can tell the owners love their holiday home as they’ve put a lot of thought into making it feel homely to guests. TV in the kitchen is added bonus. Situated in a Close and therefore, not walked by at all and thus, very private. In fact, I can’t think of any faults whatsoever. (outdoor furniture and set up is great, though as it’s winter we didn’t get to take advantage of it..). Our children loved it and want to return. Richard, the manager, popped by to check we were okay, and made us welcome from booking to departure. Thanks for a great holiday. Thanks for the cake etc…. Even in February, it was a great time away.
“Great place to place to visit” Sept 2015
Because our last visit in 2014 was perfect, we booked again with Richard this year. Again everything was great. The house is fitted well to a high standard with a lot of attention paid to details. The outside garden part was very good for us to use as a back entrance, where we could clean the dog before going in. Camber beach, only a short walk away, is also beautiful and great for long walks.
“Beautiful house in a lovely location” Aug 2015
Camber Beach House is a little gem! A beautiful property with fresh decor and everything you could need. All the rooms are very comfortable and the showers were great after a day at the beach! The sitting room had room for us all (4 adults/2 children) and the garden is a little sun trap with plenty of seating for everyone, plus the added bonus of jenga for the children (and grandparents!). Great cycle/walk path into Rye and a short walk to the beautiful Camber Sands beach, perfect for dog walks and family days out. Lots of lovely places to eat nearby. The Kino Cinema in Rye is great for rainy days (not that we had any!) and Go Ape is also nearby. Would recommend to anyone, thank you!.
“Fab house, fab location – loved it!” June 2015
The house was excellent – there was nothing that we missed that was not provided for. Rye is a lovely place for a great cup of coffee or a mooch around the shops. The best bit for us as a group were the beach houses at Dungeness – well worth the drive out there but don’t forget your camera!.
“A very relaxed holiday!” May 2015
This was our first time in a holiday cottage and first visit to Camber. The house is beautiful and perfect! With a new grandchild in the family and an elderly mother and a dog, we wanted somewhere where we would feel relaxed and have everything we need in a holiday home. This is perfect! We settled in immediately. The cottage is bright and cheerful, kitchen is fully equipped, private garden. Richard and Sophie were contactable and came over immediately to sort out a couple of minor issues on day one, and the rest of the holiday was perfect! Location is great, near the dunes, driving distance to Rye, Hastings etc. I would definitely book again. Ann
“Absolute perfection” May 2015
Our second stay in Camber (first December 2014). The cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need and the perfect gorgeous little touches of homemade cake, biscuits etc. We would happily take up permanent residence in these cottages from Beside the Sea Holidays. Customer service supplied by Richard is absolutely superb, a great guy and whatever we have needed he has been there in a second. He has been outstanding from making the booking to looking after us in person during our stay.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough and we will be spending many more relaxing breaks in this cottage. Absolutely amazing. Deb
“A wonderful house next to a beautiful beach” April 2014
We (a party of six people including two children aged 6 and 9) spent a lovely weekend at the house, which we found to fulfill all of our expectations. The house provides all amenities (fully equipped kitchen, TV including a wide variety of films- which we did not use – and Wii – which our kids used – and nice exterior including barbecue – which we did not use do to the wheather) with a very high standard. Its position at the outer limits of the development provide for quietude and lovely views out over the marshes. The interior including its beach – themed decor creates a homely atmosphere, which we truly enjoyed. Hans
“Jades New Zealand send off weekend!” Oct 2013
We had a lovely stay in your Beach cottage for our girls weekend! Thank you! – its a very comfortable, clean & well decorated home – we’ve had a great time! The ambience & theme around the cottage have made our stay fell very relaxing. We enjoyed some October sun in your lovely decked garden yesterday. We had a good time mooching around Rye & loved the stunning beach. All in all a great weekend! Many thanks & best wishes. Alison
