Our family recently spent a few days in a cottage at Camber Sands as a memorial of several holidays there with our family dog, Maurice.  Maurice passed away in March 2026 after a wonderful holiday each year in Camber with the family.  He had spent 13 years running along the beach and over the dunes.  He did not like to run in the sea, but loved all his walks each day.

We have stayed in several cottages, small to large and found them all very welcoming and attractive.  Sophie and Richard always made sure we were made welcome on arrival with a pleasant surprise of cake etc and visits from them,  checking everything was acceptable for our stay. It was reassuring to have them on the site in case of any emergencies. Fortunately, we have never experienced any problems and look forward to many more visits, possibly with our granddaughter's new dog, Moose.

Came for a stay with friends for a girls weekend of wine tasting, mooching around local shops, and good chats.  Seaglass was the perfect accommodation for us,overly outdoor space, large rooms inside and everything you need to make a stay feel relaxed and easy.  Communication with the hosts was very easy and speedy!  We will be back.  We came in Sept which for us was the perfect timing as it was more relaxing and less crowded I can imagine in summer it gets busy! We visited Charles Palmer wine tasting which we would highly recommend, Rye is where we mostly did shops and food and of course headed to the beach. Perfect holiday retreat for our family of four and two dogs.  Great location, only 8 mins from the Western Beach (Zone C is dog friendly all year round) Lovely bright rooms - with a stunning view from the lounge. We were four  friends who  spent a lovely  4 days in Marine House.  Beside the Sea provided us with helpful and detailed instructions and information before the holiday.  The house on arrival was sparkling clean.  The house is comfortable and in a quiet location with a lovely deck looking out over fields.  The beach and The Owl restaurant are within walking distance - both fantastic.

The house layout might not suit families with small children but for us it was fine.

Books, games, playing cards would have been a bonus but there was a smart TV so we enjoyed watching films in the evening.

Tradewinds was perfect for our last-minute two-night stay in Camber Sands. I'd booked through Beside the Sea before so I knew that check-in would be simple and straightforward while the accommodation would be as described on the website, no nasty surprises. And there weren't. The place was as clean, well-equipped and quiet as other homes we have rented here. We did struggle a little with the eccentric locking mechanism of the front door but that really wasn't much of an issue. We had a lovely stay at this very well-equipped, surprisingly spacious house with an enclosed garden (good for small children). Just a short walk to the beautiful beach at Camber Sands. We enjoyed a lovely short break at Beach Boutique. The very helpful digital handbook gave us all the information we needed to find dog friendly pubs, cafes and beach and took all the stress out of checking in and familiarising ourselves with the local area.
