I loved the remoteness of the coastguard cottage. The section on the beach in front of the cottage you pretty much have to yourself, nobody came down that far. Loads of kite surfers to watch. The house has everything you need, a good selection of board games and choosing a dvd to watch from the collection in front of the wood fire felt old school fun. Easy walk for the kids. Nice decor in the cottage and well equipped kitchen. Salts Farm shop nearby very friendly, good produce and meat but a little pricey. Rye is beautiful . The house was excellently equipped and we very much enjoyed sitting out in the front garden, south facing, on comfortable furniture. Really lovely cottage - the owners have thought of everything. From the booking process, to the digital welcome pack, we felt incredibly welcome. The cottage itself is beautiful and brilliantly located - 2 minutes walk from the beach. It had a lovely sized garden, parking out front and the added bonus that we ordered a Sainsbury's delivery, which knew where we were and turned up promptly, meant we didn't have to take extra stuff with us. The owners emailed the next morning to ensure everything was well with our stay. They were a delight to speak to. Such a beautiful space and design. Close to beach and pubs. Quiet and relaxing. Amazing communication from the start and amazing place to stay. They where so accommodating. We where with small kids and an older person in a wheelchair and this was such a perfect location and house for us! Everything about the property is perfect, from the location to the finishes and amenities are perfect for a small family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to another visit.
