“Thank you for a brilliant stay” Mar 2017

Camber is a beautiful place to visit; rain or shine, beach or seaside. Mallow Cottage caters for your needs whatever your preferences, situated only a five minute walk from camber sands beach or an equally short drive to the cobbled streets in the town of Rye. The house itself is clean, comfortable and easy to settle into for a long weekend getaway to the Great British coast. Thank you for a brilliant stay, I would recommend and visit again!

Very cosy, very relaxed stay, just bring food, very scenic and beautiful, fully equipped cottage for relaxed stay, would definitely be visiting again.

“Beautiful stay as always” Dec 2016

Beautiful stay as always! Thank you Richard for helping with my silly requests and see you soon. Lisa & Vinnie

“A beautiful cottage” Oct 2016

A beautiful cottage with everything we needed and superbly clean. Lovely location made all the better by the unseasonably warm and sunny weather!

“We loved Mallow Cottage” Sept 2016

We loved Mallow Cottage, incredibly quiet and beautiful, with everything we needed…even a coffee pod machine, lovely. Very modern and so comfortable, clearly well planned for a very easy break which we enjoyed immensely! Great beaches with 5 minutes and some great places to eat in Rye too.

“Couldn’t ask for more!” Sept 2016

The cottage was well equipped, clean and situated in the ideal location to explore the south east of England. Everything had been thought off to make our stay an enjoyable week and was one of the best holidays we have ever had. In fact we are already planning to book again next year… Also, a big thanks to Richard and Sophie for their hospitality on arrival.

“Perfect little getaway by the sea” June 2016

I was looking for a cottage for a long weekend stay to recharge the batteries. Mallow Cottage was the perfect choice – lovely cottage, of very good quality, with so many nice little touches – great towels, nespresso machine, thoughtful welcome treats of local goodies. The cottage was easy walking distance to the sea and a great local restaurant, and Rye just minutes away by car. Would definitely highly recommend.

“Very well equipped and clean cottage in a tranquil location” June 2016

Thoroughly enjoyed a weekend break at Mallow Cottage with my mum and toddler. Despite being a small-ish cottage, it is very well equipped, not to mention homely and clean. The décor is very tasteful and relaxing. Dogs and children are made to feel welcome, evident from the supplies left for them. Lots of thoughtful touches, I won’t mention them here as I think it’s nice to be surprised. The view from the kitchen window/ garden is beautiful. Great location for the beach too. We were also offered an extend check out on our day of departure (presumably as there were no bookings due that day), this was an unexpected bonus.

“Lovely Bank Holiday Break!” May 2016

Just spent a lovely bank holiday break at this delightful cottage. Very well equipped with good furnishings. Good bathroom and v comfy double bed. Lovely welcome pack too. Highly recommend. Great if you have a dog too! From 1st May through to September you need to take the dog to the Broomhils part of Camber sands beach for walks, only 5 mins up the Lydd Road by car. Make sure you visit the 15th century Woolpack Inn for a pint of Spitfire. Also the Landgate Bistro in Rye for great food!

“Delightful house in a lovely location, minutes from the beach” April 2016

Everything was perfect, on arrival there was a little box of luxuries including a bottle of Prosecco and some local goodies and a welcome card. The location is great with off road parking outside the front door, the house was immaculate. Nice sitting room with open access to the kitchen, fantastic view from the rear garden over the fields to the gently moving blades of the wind farm and the field was full of little lambs running about. Hot water is on a combi-boiler so on demand, and a nice shower/bath upstairs and an additional toilet downstairs. We used the double bedroom and the single would have been great for the kids, fortunately they’ve grown up and didn’t want to join us! Nice decking area in the compact rear garden and thoughtfully provided is a fire pit and a barbecue, we didn’t use either as we were out and about and by the time we got back we just settled into the sitting room and browsed the Netflix menu, also provided free of charge. In the rear garden which is decking and shingle, the fence can be 6 feet high so if you have a dog that is part kangaroo you can fold up the fence to keep them in, never seen that before but great idea! To get to the beach is around a 5 minute walk and our dog was in heaven as she believes everything that isn’t a person is a squirrel and therefore should be chased and this includes seagulls, much to our amusement. We discussed how Richard and Sophie the owners could make this property better and the answer is they couldn’t, it’s absolutely perfect, it’s spotless, comfortable, fresh, nice and just like a home from home should be. We had a fantastic stay and will be going back after the summer. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Camber Sands, I would thoroughly recommend this one.
Thanks again

“The cottage was perfect” April 2016

The cottage was perfect, whilst it was in the middle of a new build housing complex it felt like we were in a little cottage in the country. The views out the back were great especially with the new born lambs bouncing about. It’s a small but extremely cosy and modern house which easily accommodated myself and my mum with my two medium sized dogs. Loved the Nespresso machine too! The parking space out the front was a bonus and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs too. We found it extremely peaceful and quiet. I will definitely visit this property again.

“An excellent cottage” April 2016

An excellent cottage, thoughtfully furnished with all you would need for a long or short stay.a well appointed cottage looking over a field, with a decking area and bbq that would be great in the summer. Owners were friendly and helpful too. Would recommend a stay.

“Would definitely come again” April 2016

The cottage was lovely. We were met by a welcome basket full of goodies which was a real treat and a great start to our break. The property was warm, clean and beautifully arranged. Instructions for the use of the facilities were clear. Information about local amenities, places of interest and walks were all easily accessible. And the board games were an added benefit when the weather was a bit changeable. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely come again. Thank you.

“Relaxing Christmas break” Dec 2015

A great place to stay for a few days. House was clean and well equipped. Really appreciated the effort that had gone into making the house feel festive with a tree and decorative lights. The welcome hamper of handmade food was also well received. Great location being so close to the beach for bracing walks with the dog ! Would highly recommend. Thank you.

“Lovely house and great service” Nov 2015

Stayed here for a weekend break. The house is warm and modern, the beach is easy to walk to and we had a welcome basket of goodies to start off a great stay. Would recommend to others.

“A real gem” Oct 2015

We Our second visit to this super little cottage (visited in the summer but never got round to reviewing it then). It is perfectly located close to the amazing stretch of sandy beach where we enjoyed our walks as well as sipping a cappuccino at one of the 2 cafes right on the sand. There are also some decent pubs/restaurants in easy walking distance of the cottage which make a change from eating in.
The cottage is delightful – a really great deck (and very private) with views over the fields – and inside it is all of a high standard – nicely furnished, lovely fluffy towels, White Stuff toiletries, etc The bed was very comfortable and the cottage is warm. It is in a very pretty estate (shades of New England) and, I think, one of the better placed cottages on the estate. As well as walking – we visited the art gallery in Hastings , went into Rye and walked around Winchelsea. The cottage is great for a stay at any time of year – we didn’t have time to make use of the bikes but maybe next time……. we will definitely be back! .

“Lovely cottage” Oct 2015

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Mallow Cottage. The cottage is well situated in a pleasant relatively new estate of holiday lets and residential housing right next to marshland. The cottage was maintained well with a pleasant front garden and overlooking the marshland at the back. The cottage had all the facilities for our stay that we required with plenty of utensils for cooking and relaxing. The property was very clean and well presented with all a family of up to 4 people need. The bedrooms were comfortable too. The property was situated for easy access to Camber Sands beach being only a few minutes walk over the dunes with lovely walks along the beach or dunes. Rye the nearest town was nice with lots of antique shops and cafes. Overall a lovely stay.

“Excellent for dogs and their owners!” Sept 2015

Lovely cottage with beautiful furnishings. Wonderful view from the fully enclosed back garden and we were even rewarded with a double rainbow!!. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beach and dunes, which were a 5 minute walk away and they were totally exhausted after their long walks, as were we!!!.

“Great views, excellent location” Aug 2015

Had a great week at the very comfortable Mallow cottage. Perfect location for walking to beach, plus wonderful view over the marshes.

“Wonderful Location for a relaxing break” Aug 2015

The views from the rear garden are a delight. You can enjoy an amazing display of butterflies and dragonflies as you lean on the fence contemplating the wind farm, marsh and the array of wildlife.
The cottage has so many extra touches which make you feel welcomed – the basket of delicious local treats, bottle of prosecco, and the nespresso coffee machine. Not to mention the White Company toiletries, linen and towels – truly a 5* stay.
Great dog friendly beach a few minutes walk away and the lovely town of Rye within a short drive.
We will definitely be back! .

“Perfect place to be beside the sea” July 2015

I spent a wonderful week with my Mum and dog at Mallow Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and luxurious – loved the white company bedding and toiletries! The great views over the marsh at the back were a bonus – a perfect place for a morning coffee after a walk on the fabulous beach. It was a short stroll to two excellent restaurants and great to be able to cycle to Rye without getting in the car. The extra touches – eg bikes, dog treats, coffee machine – were much appreciated, and the welcome basket goodies didn’t last long! V friendly and helpful managers too – thanks Richard and Sophie! We will definitely be back.

I was looking for a cottage for a long weekend stay to recharge the batteries. Mallow Cottage was the perfect choice – lovely cottage, of very good quality, with so many nice little touches – great towels, nespresso machine, thoughtful welcome treats of local goodies. “An excellent location and venue for a family trip” May 2015

The cottage was a perfect venue for our family trip. The location was excellent both for easy access to the fantastic beaches of Camber Sands, and for taking short trips to visit Rye, Hastings and Battle.

The Cottage was clean, fresh and modern with all the facilities to make our stay very comfortable, including a welcoming basket of local produce, milk in the fridge and a cold bottle of bubbly alongside.

The owners were welcoming, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Already planning a return visit. Olivia our 8 year old, thought it was a 5 star experience.

The owners had clearly thought of a range of additions to make the stay as easy as possible, such as sand buckets for the kids, games to play, and even White Company Linen on the beds. Brian
