Sail Loft Guest Book
“Wonderful home away from home” April 2017
Thank you for offering these wonderful holiday home!! For this last week it was a home away from home. When we arrived everything was ready and it was a nice welcome with the cookies, thank you:-). The house was completely perfectly clean and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. The beds were fantastic and there were also really good towels (and enough for all;-). The way to the beach was only 5 minutes to go. The maps in the house were helpful with finding everything (maybe there could be a hint for a doctor or pharmacy; we just needed the pharmacy..) The house was very cosy and is in a nice neighbourhood – we had windows open in the night and it was wonderful quiet. And we really loved the pictures at the walls they were beautiful – the kids loved the Sail Loft, we loved it and we all hope to come back soon!!.
“A Week At The Sail Loft, Camber Sands” Sept 2016
The Sail Loft is situated on a pleasant, relatively new and well designed housing development in Camber Sands. We enjoyed very good weather and unusually warm nights meaning that we had windows wide open to keep cool and because it was very quiet nearby we had completely undisturbed sleep.
The property is unashamedly modern and has every modern convenience you could imagine and some you couldn’t. It all made for a stress free week of easy living. We were particularly impressed by the standard of appliance instructions, quite the best we have experienced after many years of holiday rents in the UK and abroad. Well done! whomever put it all together, nothing was left to chance.
The first floor accommodation was very light and sunny and a joy to be in.
A short drive to Rye where there are several highly recommended restaurants provided us with first class dining although with a well equipped kitchen we could easily have dined at home.
We picked Camber Sands because of its location central to an area we had long wanted to explore and we visited Dover Castle at one extreme and Battle Abbey at the other and also ventured inland to Sissinghurst, Bodiam, Batemans and two heritage steam railways in the area (one very nearby at Dungerness).
The marshes are very wild and the skies are spectacular even for us raised in East Anglia. The countryside inland is very pretty and it is well worthwhile driving down the very narrow lanes to appreciate it.
All in all, a very nice part of the world to visit and the Sail Loft is a perfect base for it.
“Fabulous airy accommodation” Aug 2016
Well equipped and comfortable apartment. Everything you need is provided and in perfect condition. My grandson loved the games consoles and the toys provided for the beach etc. Would definitely recommend. Practically perfect in every way.
“Fantastic- highly recommended” July 2016
A lovely new apartment, beautifully decorated and very well furnished with high quality furnishings, situated very close to the beach. Very quiet. Great beds and a large outside space with good seating. Parking. Many extra features like a heated towel rail, a good selection of board games and puzzles, computer games, nespresso machine, welcome goodies. Richard and Sophie were helpful and quick to respond to questions. No negatives at all.
“Great weekend away!” May 2016
Perfect location for a weekend by the sea. 5 min stroll across the dunes to the beautiful Camber sands beach. Lovely bright, clean, modern and well maintained apartment, with all you could need for a short break, including a great selection of games/ AV equipment to keep everyone happy!
“Best nights sleep – ever!” April 2016
Property was really well appointed. Everything that you’d expect for a luxury holiday home. The beds were fantastic. Like sleeping in a cloud. Best nights sleep I’ve ever had. So quiet. You can see the back of the dunes from the windows. Just leave the development, cross the road and your on the dunes. Fantastic. No worries over parking the car. Property has a large garden which is great for lounging about in after a hard session on the beach. The lights in the garden really extend its use into the evening.
