“Lovely place in a very peaceful and quiet neighbourhood” Sep 2015
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house, was perfect with a little child too. Great kitchen, clean, very well equipped house. Just a short walk to the amazing beach at Camber along with pubs and restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend it, and we hope to visit again.
“Superb cottage in great location” Sep 2015
I stayed here with my wife and parents in September.
We found the cottage to be immaculate and very well equipped
I can’t think of anything that was missing
The location is great for Camber Sands and a good location for exploring the surrounding area
“Well equipped, tastefully decorated, cosy accommodation” Feb 2015
Very cosy accommodation for a February break for 3 generations plus pooch. Close to the amazing beach, a scattering of pubs and restaurants and some convenience stores so we managed a week car free but there are taxi companies and bus services to Rye and Hastings. Very speedy service from the property managers when a light blew. Hearty meals served in the local pub – very attentive staff and doggy/child friendly..would definitely stay again. Joanne
“Perfect Holiday” Dec 2014

“Perfect Holiday” July 2014
This is the second time we have been in this wonderful house and we will return for more perfect holidays at Camber beach! The house is made up to a very high standard and has everything one needs during a holiday. We ( a family with a 11 year old daughter and a black Labrador) enjoyed the dog friendly house and beach and the beautiful countryside. There is plenty to do for everyone: spending time on the beach, visiting Dover Castle, Battle or Rye, watersports, karting and so on. Looking forward to come back!. Tarquin
“Superb location for families (and dogs)” July 2014
This was our second visit to Camber Sands and Tauranga. It proved to be another thoroughly enjoyable holiday, particularly as this holiday home also welcomes dogs.
Camber beach is within walking distance. Section B is open to dogs during the summer months. Some of the major attractions, such as Battle Abbey and Dover Castle, are also dog-friendly.
The house had everything we needed. Larger families (we are only three plus a Labrador) should probably opt for one of the larger properties within the portfolio of holiday homes. I think it is probably perfect for four people sharing.
If you need a larger supermarket, we would recommend the Sainsbury’s Sedlescombe Road store north of Hastings (McDonald’s is next door if you have to bribe the children before/after visiting some of the cultural attractions in the area).
Children: Lydd is approx. 20 minutes away by car for karting. Additionally, you might like to look up Action Watersports in Lydd for various activities (not cheap, but worth a visit).
Another point: the process of booking Tauranga online was very efficient, and the response time is excellent. Julia
“Welcoming homely holiday house!” May 2014
My husband, my two daughters (13 and 15 year olds) and our Border Terrier Maisy stayed in this house for two nights to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. When we arrived at the house we were very excited! The house was everything we could have hoped for and more. The rooms were comfortable and homely and nicely decorated. Everything was very clean and tidy. There were lots of extras like a welcome pack of chocolate cake, biscuits and apple juice. There was milk in the fridge, teabags, coffee and sugar on the side. Even kitchen, downstairs toilet and upstairs bathroom had lovely liquid soaps in them. Fantastic! Lovely towels and plenty for all of us, some really good dvd/blueray films for us all to enjoy! Location was great, easy walk to the beach (where Maisy went mad with happiness) and easy to drive into Rye for an explore. We definitely want to return and stay for longer! Most important to us was the Maisy dog could come with us to be part of our holiday and that is how we found this property as it was listed as pet friendly which it definitely was!. Nilla
“Comfortable warm cottage during a stormy week” Jan 2014
We stayed at Tauranga for a week over New Year’s. We booked last minute and had a very smooth booking procedure, then received detailed and tailor made information. We knew the weather was likely to be wet and wild, so we wanted a comfortable place to stay, which is what we found.
We visited Hastings, Rye and Folkestone, enjoyed getting there using the coastal roads where possible. The children (9, 11 and 14) much appreciated the internet connection, the collection of dvd’s and the spread of tv programs that were on offer.
The cottage is very well equipped and we were able to stay nice and warm. The welcome package was a really nice touch. Marleen

“We had a lovely time” Nov 2012
We had a lovely time and found the house very warm and well equipped. We also really appreciated the local goodies on arrival! Despite the weather we managed some good walks and the dog had a lovely time running on the beach. We also liked Rye and bought more local goodies to try during the week.

“We loved the house” Aug 2012
We had a great week, thank you. We were lucky with the weather- it only rained on one day, so the kids spent many happy hours on the beach (which wore them out beautifully). We loved the house too, really thoroughly and thoughtfully equipped. So, a good time had by all 🙂
Thanks again and best wishes
“Tauranga is a lovely place to stay” July 2012
Yes, we enjoyed our stay at Tauranga. The weeks toward our holiday, we were a bit worried about the weather, but it looks like we got one of the best weeks this year! Tauranga is a lovely place to stay. Because of the weather we just saw a bit of the surroundings (but more of the beach). The home is very complete, nice and clean. If anyone is looking for a place to stay in the south of England, we will certainly recommend it.
“Our stay was lovely” June 2012
Our stay was lovely. We had good weather and enjoyed the nearby sea/beach very much.
The cottage itself was excellent! All the comfort and luxury we needed.
Nearby pubs were dog friendly en provided good meals. (& fine Ale 😉
“loved the beach” June 2012
Very nice thank you, lovely cottage, so very nice to come back to after a day out. Our dog Cooper(boxer) was happy also and loved the beach. He chilled out after a short while and was well behaved, we didn’t even need to use the stair gate to keep him downstairs! We loved Rye also- so many antique shops – heaven. Altogether a nice little break.
Thank you for our welcome pack- was most delicious.
“We had such a great time!” May 2012
We had such a great time! It was all so easy with the house and we spent most of the time on the beach/watching Eurovision so all in all a great weekend! Thanks for your help
