When you book with Beside the Sea, you’re booking with real people — not a faceless platform. We’re Richard & Sophie, and we’ve been helping families find their perfect Camber Sands escape since 2009. If anything comes up before, during, or after your stay, we’re here and we’ll sort it.
Our Cancellation Policy — Clear and Fair
Life happens, and we get that. Here’s how cancellations work in plain English:
More than 30 days before check-in: Full refund of your accommodation cost, minus the service fee.
Between 7 and 30 days before check-in: 50% refund of your accommodation cost. The service fee is non-refundable.
Less than 7 days before check-in (or no-show): No automatic refund — but we’ll immediately re-list your dates. If they re-book (in full or in part), we’ll pass on the accommodation payment from the new booking, minus the service fee.
All cancellations must be made by email from the address used to make your booking, sent to sophie@besidetheseaholidays.com and confirmed by us in reply. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
We Strongly Recommend Travel Insurance
A good travel insurance policy can cover cancellation for reasons beyond your control — illness, family emergencies, even adverse weather affecting travel. Some policies also cover personal liability during your stay, which is well worth having.
