Weather-boarded charm and sociable spaces unite at The White House, a fisherman’s cottage in the heart of the White Sands community. Come with a group and spread out in comfort. At this four-bedroom, three-story getaway, you’ll have plenty of room to spend your beach holiday however you’d like.
We recommend sizzling seafood feasts in the spacious kitchen or out in the garden, then indulging at indoor or outdoor dining spaces. Or spend time together in the dual aspect living area.
When you’re ready to explore, the scenic Camber Sands beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and Rye’s pubs, shops, and medieval history are just 3 miles from your front door.

Dining & Lounging
Chat over tea by the fireplace, or snuggle in for a movie on the flat-screen TV? Choose what you fancy in the dual aspect living area, featuring two separate yet harmonious sitting areas and ultra plush seating in serene sea blues.
When it comes to mealtime, there’s no bumping elbows in the spacious kitchen. With ample counterspace and a full suite of appliances (including dishwasher) and cookware, multiple chefs can lend a hand in preparing breakfast before the beach or a Camber fresh seafood feast.
The adjacent dining table enjoys ample sunshine and can seat up to eight. Feed your appetite here with quick morning meals, or settle in for a more elegant meal in, thanks to a full offering of glasses and dishware. Open the French doors to the garden for a sea breeze whilst you dine.
Bed & Bath
The master bedroom is its own peaceful second-floor retreat. Wake up in a king-size bed and glimpse the marshland through the windows, then get ready in an en-suite with shower before seizing the day.
Also on this floor is the third bedroom with twin bunks and a single pullout bed. Let the little ones drift off to dreamland in this sailboat-themed space.
On the first floor is a second king-size bedroom with its own charming Juliet balcony.
The fourth bedroom with twin single beds dressed in cheerful patterns is located on the ground floor. The White House is the perfect setting for family getaways and friend groups alike.
There is a family bathroom on the second floor which features a bath and shower. On the ground floor you will find a wc.

The White House is perfectly located on the East Sussex/Kent border allowing you to explore two of England’s loveliest and most historic counties, East Sussex’s 1066 Country and Kent’s Garden of England. Being only one and a half hours from London you can also make the most of what the capital has to offer, take in a show in the West End, shop in Oxford Street or visit the many iconic sites.
The White House is just a short walk from Camber Sands. This wide, dune enclosed sandy beach is over 2 miles long and is the perfect spot in which to breathe in the exhilarating sea air. The village and dunes were once the haunt of smugglers, whose ill-gotten gains accounted for the prosperity of neighbouring Rye.
The cottage offers easy access to the UK’s finest beach, ideal for flying kites, making sand castles and spending relaxing family time. This wide open space is popular with windsurfers, bathers and horse riders and there is a network of footpaths and cycle routes criss-crossing the nearby wildlife reservation.
Nearby Rye has a rich and colourful history. Its cobbled streets, enchanting church and beautifully preserved buildings are proof of the towns’ importance as a medieval Cinque Port.
Rye played an important part in the defence of the realm. Local fortifications like Camber Castle are now popular tourist attractions. Perched on a hill overlooking the marshes, Rye is the perfect place to explore, shop and eat out. Its charming ancient streets are filled with a great selection of independent retailers, restaurants, pubs and a weekly market.
