“A lovely getaway!” May 2016
We spent a two night break away from London at Salt Spray. Absolutely lovely! The Cottage was very clean, furnished to a very high standard and has everything you would need. Ideal for a family holiday! Highly recommended. A trip to Rye town is a great day out. We recommend going up the tower at Marys Church. The Camber sand dunes are picturesque. One tip – book early if you want to go to The Gallivant restaurant, which is a 3 minute walk from the Cottage. We will defiantly be visiting again.
“Beautiful, pristine, cosy” Sep 2015
So happy we chose this property.. it far exceeded our expectations! My husband, toddler and I went for a weekend break for my daughter’s birthday, and we invited our family friends along as well. We really enjoyed the drive to the property.. sheep in their fields, windmills in the distance..so calming and beautiful. This, our ‘holiday home’ was one of the picket fenced beautiful homes that sat surrounded by those said fields..idyllic. When we opened the door.. we were greeted by a chocolate cake, a lovely welcome note and the most beautiful interior…exuding seaside.. with so much attention to detail. The property owners have thought of everything! There was everything that one could want.. even muffin tins, a hot iron mat, to seaside chairs, a bucket and spades for my daughter to play with, a sack full of surprise toys, cookbooks…I can go on.. and all so CLEAN AND TIDY.. which is most important! The beach is a stroll away with sand dunes and a long expanse of beach ( amazed us how far back the tides were.. a sight to behold).. with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.. and obviously.. horses just to set the scene even more. LOVELY, LOVELY, LOVELY!!! We wanted t stay longer! Thank you so much for your hospitality Richard, Sophie, Arthur and Oscar..for your generous hospitality.. you really have a beautiful place and we would love to come back! Trish and our family x
“Great family break” Aug 2015
We stayed at Salt Spray for a week with our two children (3 and 6 years) and had a wonderful time even with the rain. The cottage was like home from home very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a beach holiday even toys and books for the kids. The beach was gorgeous and only five minutes walk away, we loved it and will be going back again soon..
“Home from home” Aug 2015
Stayed in the property as a family; Mum, Dad and 2 teenage sons. Having holidayed around the UK in many self-catering properties, this accommodation offers incredible attention to detail, and the owner has clearly anticipated every possible requirement, down to bucket and spade. Camber beach is a beautiful, clean, long sandy beach, great for swimming and activities on the beach, not suitable for surfing, and no rock pools. Rye is a beautiful little town, very quirky with lots to explore. Knoops is a must: visit it and you’ll agree.
“Great week with family!” Aug 2015
Salt Spray was a beautiful and comfortable home for our family holiday (6 mo. baby and 3 yrs.) The home is immaculate and decorated with a lovely beach theme throughout- provides a wonderful sense of place! The fenced in patio was fantastic for our BBQ dinners with family and guests. The kitchen is well stocked with all amenities of home. Board games, beach toys, a games center and flat screen TVs were all enjoyed by our son.
The house benefits a short walk to Camber beach, a great playground and a handful of nice local restaurants. We also went on quick day trips to nearby Rye, Dungeoness and Hastings.
Overall an excellent place to stay in a fabulous location- we will be back!
“All the kit” Aug 2015
A perfect house for our week in Camber. The house could not have been better equipped, from the amazingly kitted out kitchen, the comfortable beds to the selection of games, children’s books and DVDs….which, for a family with young children is a god send when the weather turn’s bad! We could not think of anything more it would need.
The house is in a great location, tucked into a quiet back street but within 5 mins of the beach.
Great week and would definitely use again!
