“Just simply amazing!” Feb 2017

Beautiful property, very clean and spacious, just simply amazing!. Kitchen was fully equipped for our needs and we really appreciated the wine cooler! Walk-able distance to the Dunes and a 10 minute cab into Rye. Love the little touches of the house to make it feel like a home from home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for the gifts! The chocolate cake went down a treat! :O) Thank you.x

“Well equipped and was flawless” Feb 2017

A lovely place that I can really recommend for families with pets. The house is well equipped and was flawless. Great for family getaways and reunions with Rye only 10 minutes away.

“Perfect for our weekend away” Jan 2017

Paws by the Sea was perfect for our weekend away with friends and our dog. The beach is a stones throw and really breathtaking. The house is extremely well kitted out, we did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had every pan/dish/utensil we needed. The beds were very comfortable, showers were great and very fluffy towels! The house was very clean and the hosts were very helpful. Will hopefully be coming back soon.

“Amazing home by the wonderful beach of Camber” Nov 2016

As a family of 8, we stayed here over a long weekend for a birthday celebration. We were regulars to Camber as children so it was great to return after 30 years to revisit fond memories. The house is like a home from home; a lot of thought has gone into making this house as homely and comfortable as possible. On arrival, we were greeted with a gorgeous chocolate cake, bottle of prosecco and fresh flowers. All of the bedrooms are of a good size with comfortable beds and clean linen. The bathrooms were very clean with powerful showers and fresh towels. The kitchen area catered for all of our needs with a good sized table, aside from meal times this was the perfect area for a game of Dog Bingo (found in the lounge). The house is well equipped with a TVs, Blu-Ray player, WiFi and lots of local information on where to visit and eat. On our first night, it rained heavily so we ordered from a few local takeaway restaurants who were quick and efficient. The next two nights we ate in Rye at the Mermaid and at The Hoof; a modern and tasty Burger restaurant. Rye has lots to offer for all ages and would definitely recommend a visit to the Knoops if you’re a fan of hot chocolate, never before have we been faced with so much choice. On talking with the owner people travel from miles around to experience their offerings. Don’t miss out! Dogs are very welcome at the house and well catered for, lots of toys to keep them amused. Our dog Riley very much enjoyed his visit and absolutely loved the sand dunes at the beach. The beach is a few minutes walk from the house. The beach is quite something, amazing dunes! The beach welcomes dogs over the winter months. We were treated to some sunny but cold afternoon walks along the length of the beach. It was great to see the Kit Kat cafe still there after 30 years which was sadly closed for refurbishment at the time we visited. Overall we had a great winters break at Paws By The Sea, we would happily return again and would recommend this home for families. Our family ranges from 6-70 years and all were very happy! Thank you.

“Would stay again” Sept 2016

A lovely property amenities very good clean and well presented location good. Would stay again.

“Amazing house and stay” June 2016

I stayed at Paws by The Sea with my partner and friends for a weekend in June. We had a great welcome surprise when we arrived, which was really lovely. The house was spot on and in superb condition with every appliance you can think of. There was even prosecco and milk in the fridge and salt/pepper/oil/vinegar, which came handy. Booking was easy and without any hassle. I can only recommend Paws by The Sea – and I am sure all the other houses from Beside The Sea are in the same condition. Thank you so much. We had a great weekend on the sea.

“Beautiful property in an ideal location” June 2016

Our family of eight and our four legged friend had a wonderful week in Paws by the sea. The property is beautifully decorated and has everything we needed. We were made to feel very welcome. The welcome drink and dog toys a surprise bonus. Very quick walk to the beach everyday and the surrounding area had plenty to visit. Would highly recommend.

“Fabulous Weekend Break” May 2016

Had a great weekend in this fabulous house. Made to feel very spoilt with the high quality furnishings and equipment together with stunning framed photographs of the local area dotted around the property. Ample space and we loved being able to sit out in the courtyard garden. Short walk to the wide sandy beach and local restaurants. Perfect location for exploring Camber and the local area.

 “Fantastic location” April 2016

Just come back from a 3 day break here – had a fantastic time with my husband and dog. The house is about a 2 minutes walk to a sandy beach. The house is newly renovated and very clean and spacious with a sweet garden – perfect for a BBQ! The pretty town of Rye is at out a 10 minute drive away where there are lots of local shops.

“By far the most well-appointed, comfortable and beautiful house we have rented” April 2016

What a week! With the outstanding Camber Sands a short (if steep!) walk over the dunes, this house has beyond all we’d want in a holiday home. Although I’m originally a Sussex boy, we still discovered loads of fabulous new places within easy reach.

Things we really enjoyed:

One of the best and I’d guess, cleanest beaches in the UK, seems to have a fantastic light to it – the sand and sky looks like a painting

Rye (Who wouldn’t love it?)

Si Italian on the Quayside in Rye, a lovely, bustling and individual restaurant, great fun and reasonable to boot! Teenager recommendation – The calamari.

Fresh fish shops, one just over the bridge heading into Rye from Camber and one in Dungeness opposite the Pilot pub, in eerily outstanding surroundings, the landscape has got to be seen to be believed. Try the Smoked Prawns when you’re there!

Hythe was a stunning place with fish and chips on the seafront.

The designer outlet Ashford (not far – 20-odd minutes away) – loads of cheap cool stuff to keep teenagers happy

Back to the house:

The attention to detail is fabulous, spacious, comfortable and homely, with lovely local art on the walls, large lounge and open kitchen, a fancy coffee machine, invaluable for the teenager’s Easter revision sessions, a fabby barbecue for my hunter-gatherer moments, great board games supplied – who’d have thought ‘Dog Bingo’ was the best family game on earth? (Still crying with laughter at the thought of it.)

This is a great place to stay – with so much to do and see in the area, we can’t wait to come back.
