“Home from home” May 2017
My daughter and I have just come back from a glorious weekend staying at the Long Beach in Camber. We were very lucky with the weather and even more so with this little holiday cottage. We arrived to find a bottle of Prosecco, a very deliciously naughty Chocolate Cake, a bottle of Apple Juice and milk, which got my daughters birthday celebrations off to a great start! Everything you need is here, from the fully equipped kitchen complete with coffee machine to bowls for the pooches. The owners really have thought of everything. We enjoyed two wonderful days on the beach with the dogs, ordered a takeaway from Khanz the first night and popped into The Owl on the 2nd & already thinking about where to go on the next trip. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness Richard & Sophie, we had a great time and will hopefully be back soon x
“Well equipped, great location” May 2017
Really lovely holiday rental in Camber, close to the beach and not far from Rye. The property was really well equipped and on arrival they provided a bottle of prosecco, a cake, 2 pints of milk and apple juice – lovely gesture! It has been kitted out to a high standard. Recommend the walk into Rye. The only downside was that the frogs in the nearby water were very loud and it made it difficult to have the windows open at night. In spite of this, I would still really recommend this rental.
“Modern, beautiful, everything you need, great location, lovely people” Feb 2017
We stayed in Long Beach (2 bedroom cottage) last weekend. We loved the house, it is clean, modern, comfortable. It has everything you can think of. And more. Iron, ironing board, bottle warmer, coffee machine, dog bowls, board games, towels, wii etc. Fully equipped kitchen, Molton Brown handwash. Everything. What a beautiful touch to leave us a bottle of bubbly, a homemade cake and some fresh apple juice as a welcome gift. We are a family of 3 with a 15 year old teenager and a dog. We had a much needed bonding time. Thank you so much. Will be back soon.
“Lovely weekend away” Jan 2017
Great location and cosy house with everything we needed for a lovely week-end away
Beautiful holiday cottage Nov 2016
Wonderfully located for the beautiful beach and sand dunes of Camber Sands in a quiet modern small development. The house is very well equipped and beautifully presented and the prosecco and chocolate cake a welcome delight!!! Very dog friendly and accommodating with dog bowl and towels if needed. The Gallivant hotel is a few minutes walk away and is well worth a visit as is the New Inn in Winchelsea for food and hospitality. 5 min drive to Rye but was actually just content to stay at the cottage and wander along the fabulous sandy beaches and escape city life for a brief moment in time. Highly recommend.
So glad we decided to re-visit Long Beach Nov 2016
We first stayed at Long Beach 6 years ago and wanted a short break before Christmas this year , so thought why not go back to Long Beach if it’s available ? We are so glad it was, it was just as we had remembered it . It is such a lovely holiday home, so relaxing, and it has everything you could need . We also had a lovely cake and bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived which was much appreciated . Would definitely go back , and hopefully we won’t wait 6 years till we go again!
“The little extras” May 2016
We booked Long Beach as it was my mum’s and sisters birthdays that week, (she lives in Greatstone), and as we have two dog’s it would have been a bit of a squeeze staying with her!
The thing that stood out for myself and my wife was all the little extras. We normally do self catering and to find tea bags, kitchen towel, towels hand wash etc. all provided was a first for us and very welcome. The house was absolutely spotless.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.
“Perfect house to relax and enjoy a weekend break” Dec 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break at Long Beach. The property is a modern new build property situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, which is a few minutes drive from the beach. Although it was December (and rather windy) we did visit the beach and got some amazing photos. I’m already looking forward to returning when it is a bit warmer. The nearby town of Rye is certainly worth a visit and is full of quirky shops and not another soulless high street. There also seemed to be a number of other attractions nearby but quite frankly we enjoyed just relaxing at the house and escaping city life. Will definitely be back and would recommend Long Beach.
“Nice comfy accommodating place” Nov 2015
We loved our stay in Long Beach at Camber Sands. The dunes and beach were amazing. The house was comfortable and well equipped. It isn’t a quaint little beach cottage but in some ways better as the electrics didn’t trip and the beds were warm and comfortable. TV in our sons room was a big hit! only 7 minute walk to the beach over the dunes. If you are planning on eating dinner in Camber Sands, even at the pub I recommend you book well in advance. We ended up with a takeaway as didn’t fancy driving to Rye (which is only a 10 minute drive).
“Great spot” Oct 2015
Very tidy little house with everything you need to settle quickly into a beautiful part of the world. Magnificent beach is easy walking distance and Rye is a 10 minute car ride.
“Fantastic holidays” July 2015
We had a fantastic week at Long Beach. The house was beautiful and very comfortable and modern. We loved spending time in Camber Sands and at the beach which was very close to the apartment. The welcome-cake was delicious! We would like to come back for another holiday.
“Perfect house, perfect location” April 2015
Fantastic holiday cottage within walking distance to the beach. The cottage was decorated to a high standard with great facilities and ticked every box for a great weekend stay. It felt very homely and comfortable. Kids loved their bedroom with the added bonus of a TV in their bedroom! Highly recommended!.
“We will definitely re-visit” Mar 2015
We had a fantastic stay – it was like home from home. We were really pleased with how well equipped the house was. The children were also
very comfortable and did not want to leave. We will definitely re-visit. Surjit
“love the house” Mar 2015
We love the house, so well equipped and comfortable thank you so much for the coffee and treats! Bobbi
“Fantastic cottage and surroundings” Dec 2014
We had a fantastic few days at Long Beach, the house was very comfortable, modern, clean and very well kept with a host of facilities including a nespresso coffee machine and a very well equipped kitchen. It’s a 2 min walk from one of the most stunning beaches you will find, and only a 30 min walk (under 5 min via car) from Rye which is one of the most picturesque villages I have ever been to – it’s almost like going back in time. I stayed with my girlfriend but there is plenty of room for a family with children. Looking forward to going back! ! James
“amazing service and extra touch” Nov 2014
We had a great weekend . The house offered more than we were expecting and delivered in every single aspects – great location, great comfort, we felt like being home!
Also a special thanks to both of you for the amazing service and extra touch (croissant and cake) that was really unexpected. We’d probably consider coming back closer to summer time to enjoy a bit more the outdoor space.! Renaud
” all agreed we would like to go back” Oct 2014
We have had a very enjoyable stay at Long Beach. The weather was amazing we couldn’t of hoped for better. We have all agreed we would like to go back, so all in all a great holiday! Kirsty
“enjoyed it so much we chose to stay for another week” Oct 2013
We had booked for a weeks stay but enjoyed it so much we chose to stay for another week.
At first we thought we were a long way from most things but once we were there in Camber we found it to be really good so location was great.
The home was brilliant – it had everything you need, the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils for cooking if you want to. Long Beach was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with little added touches that make it really a home away from home.
If ever we are over that way again Long Beach would be our first choice for accommodation, we found it a great place to chill out and do nothing and also a great place to base yourself if you want to see the sights each day. Bev
“enjoyed our stay as much as the previous time” April 2013
Hello there, yes we got save home thank you (despite a bit of a rough sea);)
We enjoyed our stay as much as the previous time; it is still a lovely home to stay in!
As we are from Flanders we are familiar with such weather and we only had one day of rain .
Thanks for your concern and till the next! Bart
If we could buy a second home, Long Beach would be an ideal choice! – Mar 2013
It was very good, although we decided to leave on Friday because of the threat of snow on Saturday, and I’m glad we did as Northampton was hit by the bad weather quite badly.
When we arrived, there was no heating but as the controls were the same as ours, we put the heating on and it soon warmed up. The house remained nice and warm all week, which was good as it was very cold. The WiFi was excellent and both the laptop and iPad worked well. The kitchen was well equipped – I even cooked lunch for our day visitors.
If we could buy a second home, Long Beach would be an ideal choice!. Lynn
Highly recommended! Lovely house, well equipped, and very welcoming – Dec 2012
We spent a wonderful three days in this lovely house on a freezing December weekend. Bright, modern and very comfortable, with a a well equipped kitchen, wifi and entertainment centre. Central heating spot on! Interesting walks around Rye and Winchelsea, and surprisingly good public transport links for anyone without a car.
What a surprise after so many poor quality rentals.
Thank you so much!
Bright, spacious and well-equipped – Jul 2012
My husband and I stayed at Long Beach this summer with our children (ages 5 and 7) and we all loved it. From the moment you walk in, the spacious light filled interior is very welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay, including: a welcome basket with bread, jam and milk; a combination washer / dryer (invaluable when you are traveling with young children!); two bathrooms (one full bathroom upstairs and what we call a powder room in North America on the main floor – i.e. toilet and sink); beach chairs and toys; a Wii (which the kids loved); fast and reliable wi-fi; etc., etc.
In terms of location, there is a beautiful sandy beach minutes walk away – for those with mobility challenges, you may want to access the beach through the public parking lot, so that you can avoid the tall climb over the sand dunes. Using Long Beach as a base, we did several day trips to places like Battle Abby (location of the 1066 Battle of Hastings), and the castles at Dover, Bodiam, and Pevensey.
