Driftwood Guest Book
“would very much like to stay again” Oct 2016
We were a group of 5 teachers enjoying a weekend break at the start of half term and we couldn’t have been happier with what we found, both in terms of the house and location. We loved the ‘beachy’ theme running through the house (as the ‘Driftwood’ house name suggests!) which perfectly suited its ‘5 minute walk from the beach’ location and were impressed with the quality of decor and provisions. Communication with Beside The Sea was excellent and we were pleased to be able to negotiate an earlier check-in. On arrival, we were presented with a lovely welcoming gift of juice, a bottle of Prosecco, cake and biscuits, and it was kind of Richard and Sophie to pop round a couple of hours later to check that we had settled in well. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone seeking a modern, attractive and well-furnished house in the near vicinity to a beautiful, sandy stretch of beach complete with sand dunes, and would very much like to stay again sometime in the future. Thank you!.
“Clean and lovely house” Sept 2016
Great stay- drinks and cakes when we arrived. Clean and lovely house for a good price in a nice location .
“So many stars at night and silence! Bliss!” Sept 2016
The property was absolutely beautiful and just as described, we really couldn’t fault it at all. Sophie and Richard were lovely and even gave us a later check out time on our departure day. It was perfect for our annual girls weekend. The location is fantastic, right near the gorgeous beach. So lovely to get away from London for the weekend to somewhere so quiet. So many stars at night and silence! Bliss! Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you !!!.
“Beautiful clean 5* house* July 2016
Family with 2 small children, house was perfect for us. Like home from home, with everything you need from a garden, bats and balls for kids, washing machine etc. Decorated very nice, with very comfy beds and so much space! Great location, could walk to the beach (we drove) only 10 minutes into rye which is a lovely town, some nice restaurants and crafty shops.
